The Time Trial course starts in Lorne, and travels along Great Ocean Road to the Memorial Arch at Eastern View.
The principle diversion route avoiding the Great Ocean Road is via Forest Road > Cape Otway Road > Winchelsea – Deans Marsh Road > Deans Marsh – Lorne Road through to Lorne, and vice versa. (key local access points listed below)
Victoria Police will escort local residents and business vehicles between Lorne and Eastern View in both directions at approx.
- 11.15 am – 11.50 am
- 1.35 pm – 2.10 pm
Access the below locations in these ways
Aireys Inlet, Moggs Creek, Fairhaven, Eastern View
Residents will be able to access the Great Ocean Road from Anglesea at a soft road closure point (local access only).
Those coming from Lorne direction will be held at Stirling Street & Great Ocean Road, until safely able to be escorted through during a routine traffic flush.
Lorne
Local residents coming from Anglesea direction will be held prior to reaching the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch, until safely able to be escorted through during a routine traffic flush
Residents are advised to use the detour option at Forest Road (from Anglesea) instead, and access Lorne via Deans Marsh-Lorne Road.
Anglesea
Local residents coming from Lorne direction will divert via Stirling Street, and be held at the Great Ocean Road, until safely able to be escorted through during a routine traffic flush
Residents are advised to use the detour option at Deans Marsh-Lorne Road instead, and access Anglesea via Forest Road.

How do I find out traffic information in case of an emergency?
The traffic hotline number is 0456 479 606 and will be active from 5am – 5pm on the event day. This number is to be used exclusively for the purpose of obtaining information about traffic in the area.
If I need medical assistance what should I do?
First Aid and Ambulance Victoria (AV) will be on the course and on call. Marshalls and bike mechanics will be traveling on the course on motorcycles and in cars. Traffic management will be controlling traffic at intersections and volunteers will be guiding athletes for turns at intersections. All of these people are equipped with radios and can contact Event Control to organise assistance. In the event of a severe accident call 000.

Progressive closures are made of roads used on the course of the weekend’s major event, Amy’s Gran Fondo.
The course starts in Lorne, and travels through Deans Marsh, Forrest, Skenes Creek and Back to Lorne along the Great Ocean Road.
The principle diversion route avoiding the Great Ocean Road is via the Princes Highway through Winchelsea to Colac, then the C155 from Colac through Gellibrand to Lavers Hill and vice versa. (key local access points listed below)
In order to meet the road re-opening times which are a condition of our road closure permits, riders are required to maintain an average speed of 18 km/h. Riders falling behind the average speed will have the option to get a lift in the SAG wagon to the next Aid Station or continue under open road conditions.
